Hand-crafted from a single piece of dark bamboo, the matcha whisk (chasen) is divided into one hundred fine tines—each shaped, curled, and smoothed to create a velvety froth and a quiet rhythm in motion within the bowl. The accompanying bamboo scoop (chashaku) measures the precise powder portion for one serving, completing the ritual with intention and ease.

Black bamboo, also known as purple bamboo, is denser and more resilient than pale varieties. Its naturally firm yet flexible structure offers durability and a refined texture, making it ideal for daily matcha preparation. Each set is available in two editions, distinguished by a cotton-wrapped thread at the base of the whisk—a subtle references to serenity and warmth matching our line of blue and rose marble.
