Consumers in the European Union have statutory rights if goods do not conform to the contract. These rights apply independently of any voluntary commercial guarantee.
The statutory legal guarantee has a minimum duration of two years under EU law. Depending on the applicable national law, the legal guarantee period may be longer.
If a product does not conform to the contract, consumers may be entitled to remedies provided by applicable law, such as repair, replacement, price reduction or, where applicable, termination of the contract.
